of places should be made directly in emergencies through the School
Office.
The after-school club is situated within the dining room at the

Aims & Facilities
Our aim is to provide a ‘between home and school’ environment
which is safe, secure and stimulating.
Our large room is used to offer ‘messy’ and creative
activities, as well as a quiet area in which children can complete
homework assignments if they wish, or simply read and relax. The
emphasis of the club is on leisure, as we are keen that the club
is not seen as a continuation of the school day.
We offer outdoor play, weather permitting, and can often be found
on the lawn at the rear of Kindergarten.
We will provide all children in our "Good Morning Club"
with breakfast and children attending our "Good Afternoon Club"
will be provided with tea (special dietary requirements will be
catered for upon request). Click here
to see our menu.
Opening Times
The club is available from 7.30am to 8.30am and 3.15pm each school
day during term time. A ‘waiters’ session operates
until 4.15pm at which time the full After-School Club session
is in progress. The club closes at 6.00pm.
Admissions Policy
All children between 3 and 11 years are welcome to join the After-School
Club. Parents may book individual days as required or block book
if preferred, with the Playleader at the club or by telephoning
07717 767488.
If you have not booked in advance and find you need our services
the same day, please contact Mrs Garside at the school office on
01484 424549 and we will be happy to help where space allows.
As our numbers are limited it is important that you check availability
for the sessions you require.
Admission is on a strictly first come first
served basis

Arrival & Departure
Children are escorted to the After School Club by their class teacher,
where care is passed to the club staff.
Children will only be allowed to leave with the people named on
the registration form, unless a prior arrangement has been made.
Accidents & Illness
The club carries a first aid kit and staff members are trained
in basic first aid procedures. All accidents are noted in the
Accident Book and parents will be informed of the incident and
asked to sign the report.
In the event of a more serious accident, every effort will be made
to contact parents immediately, however the care of the child will
be considered the main priority and medical advice will be sought.
We cannot accept children into the club if they are unwell. Admission
is at the discretion of the proprietor.
Medication
Prescribed medication can be administered to children at the club
so long as the appropriate authorisation form has been completed
and signed by a parent. MEDICINE CANNOT BE GIVEN WITHOUT WRITTEN
CONSENT
Child Discipline
We endeavour to provide a happy and stimulating environment and
to avoid conflicts. However, should it be necessary the following
action will be taken:
establish what the problem is and how it
occurred
talk to those concerned and try to resolve the situation
by discussion
should it be necessary
an alternative activity or a ‘time
out’ period may be suggested
parents/carers will be
informed of any unusually disruptive or uncharacteristic
behaviour.
Parents/carers should feel free to discuss any
concerns they may have about their child with the Playleader.
All matters will
be treated in the strictest confidence.
