The main aim of Huddersfield
Grammar is to provide all children, irrespective of race, religion,
gender or background the opportunity to be involved in a caring,
challenging and supportive environment where their full potential
may be realised.
The School provides high
quality education for children age 3 to 16 years, as part of a continuing
development process which encourages children to achieve their maximum
potential, prepares them academically, socially and morally for
the next stage of their lives.
We believe that education
should be
accessible, giving every child
many opportunities to use their unique talents to achieve success
enjoyable and stimulating
well ordered, but with opportunity
for self-expression
We aim to encourage and
foster in children
respect and care for each other
and the wider world in which they live
the building of a bond of trust
and respect with those who teach them
a laying down of foundation for
a balanced future life
a rounded and thoughtful approach
to all situations they meet.
A strength of the school is the ability
to offer the security to offer the security of uninterrupted education.
Children enter at a variety of stages and ages, most commonly at
age 3 into Pre-Preparatory School, age 7 into Preparatory School
or age 11 into Senior School.
However, possibilities exist for entry
at all ages depending on the availability of places. We make every
effort to ensure a smooth transition so that each individual is
able to integrate both socially and academically.
