Our goal is to have prepared boys and girls to progress, at age 11, to Huddersfield Grammar School Senior School, (or to any other school) with the technical abilities, knowledge and ideals to allow them to take advantage of every opportunity presented to them.

Children transfer to the Preparatory School at the end of Year 2. To ensure that the children are happy and settled, we do everything we can to provide them with friendly, secure surroundings within the school.

It is in such an environment that children flourish and so we encourage everyone in school to be:

• careful, kind and considerate
• polite, friendly and cheerful
• helpful and cooperative
• confident and hardworking

We hope that through this process the children will:

• learn to care for one another
• learn to care for, and about, people in the wider world
• develop self-confidence
• achieve their very best
