Girls and boys enter the Pre-Preparatory School from the age of three
or four. The Pre-Preparatory Department marries traditional educational
values with current good practice and embraces recent legislative changes
in nursery education.
The children are taught in
small classes by experienced and qualified staff.
The curriculum is broad and balanced, based on the National Curriculum.
Whilst reading, writing and number work have a high priority in the
early years, ensuring a sound foundation, great emphasis is also
placed on the social development of each individual. Information
Technology is intergrated into the curriculum from the beginning
and all children learn the skills needed to use computers effectively.
We hope to succeed in the development of a well-balanced
child, one who is not only academically well-prepared but an individual
who is well versed in the other skills essential to their development.
We provide a stimulating and creative environment in which children
are encouraged to learn and question.
